Growing up in Wuppertal, in the middle of Germany, currywurst was a part of our daily life - like Mom and apple pie! There were countless stands, kiosks and even Currywurst Restaurants.

There were different names and styles throughout Germany for this kind of fast food place. "Fritten Bude" is a term used in Berlin, and "Pommes Bude" closer to my hometown. In fact, at a young age we quickly developed an opinion as to which was our own favorite "Pommes Bude". Typically, currywurst is accompanied by Pommes (French Fries) and served with a selection of mayonnaise and ketchup (Rot/Weiss or Schranke).

Currywurst brings to the streets of Los Angeles the very best of this authentic traditional and national treasure!
